Google+ slowly overtaken Facebook

Google seems not afraid to create a social networking community that continues to develop slowly but surely can surpass its biggest rival Facebook as.

As the Internet giant, it seems Google will continue to develop its services and enhance the growth of Google as a very interesting social networking, and can compete with the biggest rival Facebook. Similarly, as quoted by Japan Today, Saturday (22/10/2011).

Green IT World, Not Just Wear Clean Energy

We may have often heard the environmental organization Greenpeace protests against logging or hunting whales. But there is one environmental organization's protest that shocked the industry of information and communication technology (ICT), namely their campaign against Facebook's data center.
Greenpeace is launching a program "Cool IT Challenge" in 2009.One aim urging operators to reduce data center energy use and find solutions to address global warming. Opposition to the data center Facebook Facebook itself triggered the decision to build data centers in Oregon, using electricity from PacificCorp, a generating company which produces 67 percent of its energy from coal.

Survey: Members of Google+ Able to beat Facebook

Google+ had just noted the acquisition of 25 million membersthis weekend. Some developers believe the social networkingsite owned by Google is able to pursue a number of members of Facebook in the future.

Based on the survey conducted by research firm IDC,approximately two-thirds of 1621 respondents believed that Google+ is able to beat Facebook in the future. The reason? More than 68 percent of respondents believe that assets such as Google's other search engines, YouTube, or Google Maps, able to defeat the achievement of Facebook.

Of course, if you look at the total member-owned Google+, 25 million, is still have a long distance to compare it to Facebook, which has reached more than 700 million members. Moreover, according to Experian Hitwise analysis recently, Google+ traffic began to decline compared to the initial launch.

But the developers believe that prediction will be proven. The reason, Google + is considered as a new platform that is able tobecome a new star cyberspace after Facebook did, 2004.

"Developers continue to pay attention to current market needsand the future. Google + is an opportunity to attract their attention," explains Scott Schwarzoff as Vice President of Marketing of Appcelerator as quoted by Cnet on Thursday (04/08/2011).

Although Google+ has not given set of APIs (application programming interface) to developers, approximately 72 percent of developers who follow a survey from IDC is planning to write tothe API of Google in the next 12 to 18 months ahead. That means only about 1 percent of the API's Twitter and 11 percent under Facebook's API. Facebook began to lose prominence?

Facebook's glory will soon be over? Could be, let alone see thegrowth of Facebook members are stagnating and even declining.Similarly, a recent survey released by the Inside Facebook.

A few months ago was a success drew up a total of 700 millionmembers, but the growth of social networking giant began to slow down and even lost users in the United States and Canada in thelast month. In fact, surprisingly enough, the number of Facebook members has decreased or begin to lose this means Facebookusers.

According to Inside Facebook, as reported by AFP on Monday (7/25/2011), a company based in Palo Alto, Calif., was started in June with a number of members of the 687 million users.

Facebook itself does not regularly release membership figuresexcept to announce certain moments such as when it crossed the500 million users in July last year.

The survey also said that overall growth has decreased to a veryslow growth rate in recent months.

Facebook obtain 11.8 million members in May and 13.9 million in April, despite the visible increase, but basically decreased from an average of 20 million new regular users during a month that occurred in previous months.

United States lost nearly six million users in May, Inside Facebooksays, down from 155.2 million in early May to 149.4 million by the end of the month. (okezone.com)
